Resources for Online Teaching: Home

This guide shares resources that will help faculty teaching online for the first time.

If you are trying to share a link to library resources with students, please add the proxy URL before the resource's URL so students can access it from off campus. Example: I want to share this film in Digital Campus with students- https://digitalcampus.swankmp.net/briarcliff370877/watch/18502D9DA95CE5D1?referrer=direct.

My off campus students can't view it with that link, so I have to add the proxy URL (https://login.briarcliff.idm.oclc.org/login?url=) at the beginning, like this: https://login.briarcliff.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://digitalcampus.swankmp.net/briarcliff370877/watch/18502D9DA95CE5D1?referrer=direct. Let Bree Kirsch know if you have questions about this.

National Emergency Library for Books

The Internet Archive has opened up their collection of in-copyright ebooks that normally are available through digital lending; this expanded access is available through at least June 30.

This represents about 1.4+ million scanned books from roughly 1920's to 2014; a good chunk of this is at the high school to college/university level.  There are very few books relatively from the last 5 years.  In addition, there are some 2.5 million scanned books in the public domain which are always freely available.
