Adobe Audition

How to Create a Simple Audio Recording in Audition

1. Open Audition

You can find Adobe Audition quickly by opening the Launchpad on the Mac. Just click on the rocket ship icon on the bottom of the computer screen.

2. Audition Learn

If you're new to using Audition, it's worthwhile to watch some of the how-to videos on Audition Learn. Just click on Help at the top of your screen and select Audition Learn.

3. Open Waveform

Click on the Waveform button to record and edit an individual audio file. The Multitrack player can be used for assembling recordings and more.

4. Record

Press the red Record button to start recording. You'll see green waves appear as the software records your voice. To stop recording, press the Stop button. To listen to your recording, press the Play button.

5. Save

When you're happy with what you've recorded, don't forget to save your audio file. Go to File near the top of the page, click on Save As, and then select mp.3 from the dropdown menu under Format. Remember to save your mp.3 file to a USB drive, your OneDrive account, or email it to yourself.
